Data from 2008 onwards has been revised in 2018 for the following values: Married and separated, Divorced, and Widow/widower. Registered divorced partners included from 1992. Widow/widower: Includes all persons residing in Denmark who are widowed due to the spouse's death. As married counts married spouses who have lived separatedly - or actually were separated. Registered partners are included under Married and separated.

Faroe Islands

Registered partnerships were never adopted in the Faroe Islands.

Finland

Norway

On 1 January 2009 the Marriage Act was changed in such a way that two persons of the same sex can be married, and new partnerships were abolished. Persons already in a partnership can change their partnership to marriage, or continue their partnership.
